1999-DeepWorker

DeepWorker is a submersible vehical that can explore the sea like never before and can ubtain high pressures. The DeepWorker can stay under water for a lot longer time than a scuba diver can. DeepWorker can go down to depths as far as 2000 feet. This vessel is oporated by one person at a time. The speed of the DeepWorker is 3-4 knots and the life support is about 106 hours. These amazing vessels are making of smarter of what is under the unknown waters on earth.

2000-Avenger

Avenger was a new submarine to the U.S. navy base. Avenger is a 65 feet mini sub. The engine is powered by diesel fuel and liquid oxygen. Avenger can hold 18 troops with 6 crew members. In the 2000s the official 100th anniversary of the submarine.

1775-Submarine

Submarines are used for the millitary as well to research scientific thing about the huge Hydrosphere. The submarines research can help with modern communications, technology, monitor pollution, assess fish stocks and explore oil and gas fields. Submarines help scientists by going to the lowest possible depths of the ocean. Submarines also can helps them so they can learn about new species of sea creatures at the very low depths.

1819-Vessels

Vessels are a big part as to going to the location to learn and research at sea. Vessels carry out many tasks at sea like to research the chemical physical and biological characteristics of the water. Vessels also can collect information like the depth range of some extremley low dangous depths. Vessels are a big part in learnig about the ocaen and they help us learn more and more every time it leaves the station.

1300- Scuba Diving

Scuba diving is an experance where you can study the life under the water right by your side . Scuba dive is so you can go down and see the way that water animals live there lives every day. Animals live there lives differently so we what to go down deep and study the amazing animals as they life in their habbitats. We have learned alot scuba diving to see the life under water come straight to your eyes.

1900-Magnetometers

Magnetometers is an instrument used for measuring magnetic forces. Ocean engineers and archeologists use marine magnetometers to detect variations in the total magnetic field of the underlying seafloor.the increased magnetization is caused by the presence of ferrous iron on the seafloor. scientists then can use this magnetic data to determine the thickness and age of volcanic lava that flows at mid-ocean ridges.
 

1956-Satellites

Satellites are used alot when it comes to the the hydrosphere from space we can monitor the current change and the heat storage. Satellites have a color scanner to measure levels of chlorophyll in surface waters. satellites can determining ocean productivity by bouncing radar waves off the ocean's surface. Satellites can also determine wave height, water temperature, climate patterns, water vapor in the atmosphere, ocean surface currents and more.



1956-Submersible Vehicles "ALVIN""

Submersible Vehicles Submersibles allow marine scientists to go down to great depths for viewing and sampling organisms in their natural habbitat,. Using advanced submersible technologies,new ecosystems have been discovered. the first submesible vehice that is capable of carrying passengers is named Alvin it can go to a maximum depth of 14,764 ft.Alvin weighs 37,400 lbs. and its maximum speed is 2 knots. These submersibles allow us to travel deeper with more confidence.

1927-Weather Buoys

Weather Buoys are instruments which gathers weather and ocean data around the world of the oceans. It can also tell emergency response to legal proceedings, chemical spills and many more. We have used weathering buoys since 1951. Weather buoys gather a alot of information like air temperature above the oceans surface, wind speed, barometric pressure, wind direction , water temperature, wave hight and wave period. the information is then transmited by radio or many other ways.

1915-Sonar

Sonar stands for Sound Navigation And Ranging it is a system for the detection of objects under water and for measuring the deph by emitting sound waves and measuring their return after being reflected. it has been used for submarine and mine detection ,deph detection,commercial fishing, driving safty and communication at sea.
